1. Who we are
Nakashi Lighting LLC (“Nakashi”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We decide how and why your personal data is used when you visit nakashi.ae (“the website”) or contact us, so we are the controller of that data.

2. The data we collect
When you send an enquiry. Through the contact form we collect your name, company, role, email address or WhatsApp number, the service you are interested in, your project type and stage, and any message you choose to write. You decide how much to share. Only your name, a way to reach you and the service you need are required.
When you contact us directly. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you send, including drawings or project files. Drawings are shared after an NDA is signed, and we treat them as confidential.
When you browse the website, and only if you accept cookies. With your consent, analytics and advertising tools record how the website is used: pages visited, time on page, the site or advert that brought you here, your device and browser type, and an approximate location based on your IP address. Section 5 explains each tool.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health, religious or biometric data, and we ask you not to send it.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it to make decisions about you by automated means alone.
4. Who receives your data
We share your data only with service providers who process it for us, under their own security and privacy commitments:
Framer: hosts the website and receives contact form submissions.
Zoho: our customer relationship management system and email provider, where enquiries and business communications are stored.
Google: Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies.
Meta Platforms: the Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram advertising, if you accept marketing cookies, and WhatsApp, if you message us there.
LinkedIn: the LinkedIn Insight Tag, if you accept marketing cookies.
We may also share data with professional advisers, such as lawyers and auditors, under a duty of confidentiality, or with public authorities where the law requires it.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Analytics and marketing tools load only after you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working.
6. Transfers outside the UAE
Some of our service providers store or process data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates, including in Europe and the United States. We use providers that apply recognised safeguards to international transfers, and we transfer only what each service needs. Where your consent is the basis for a transfer, you give it when you accept the relevant cookies or send us your enquiry.
7. How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 3 years from your last contact, then deleted.
Project, contract and invoice records: for as long as UAE commercial and tax law requires us to keep them, currently 5 years after the end of the financial year concerned.
Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google Analytics.
Advertising data: kept by LinkedIn and Meta under their own retention rules.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPL you have the right to:
ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
receive a copy of your data, and ask us to transfer it to another organisation where this is technically possible;
ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
ask us to delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it;
ask us to restrict how we use your data, or to stop using it;
withdraw your consent at any time, for example by changing your cookie settings. This does not affect what was done before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email info@nakashi.ae. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
9. How we protect your data
We use service providers with recognised security standards, limit access to people in our team who need it, and keep project drawings under the confidentiality terms of the NDA we sign with you. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we act promptly on any suspected breach and will inform you and the authorities where the law requires it.
10. Children
The website is intended for professionals and property owners. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other websites
The website links to other sites, such as our LinkedIn and Instagram pages. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave nakashi.ae.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Where a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
